What am I missing?
Basketweave Jacket
I get more compliments on this sweater than any other one of my designs. The stitch makes it so special. It is a simple design, easy to make (the only challenge is the stitch) and the result is so special. With a zipper, the jacket is more sporty and with hooks and eyes it is more polished. The basketweave stitch is very dense, making it a very warm garment. I have used 10-ply cashmere (www.loriversaci.etsy.com), but soft, bulky wool, like Brown Sheep Company’s Lanaloft, Malabrigo Bulky or Fly Designs Wooly SIngles are great alternatives (www.littleknits.com).
