Growing up, my grandfather would often say things were bass ackwards when they were out od order or messed up in some way. He meant something else, of course, but was trying to save our virgin ears from hearing the dreaded A-word come from old Papo’s mouth.

I got an idea in my head that insread of just knitting it, id do purls all throughout, and somehow came up with this hat that can be worn right side or wrong side out. I think it looks pretty cool either way.By increasing or decreasing in increments of 5 stitches, this hat can easily be sized from newborn to adult.

Sample and pattern are done in a size appropriate for an adult.
