A collection of charted cuffs to use with take out coffee or travel mugs, with images and battle cries appropriate to the major races occupying Middle Earth as developed by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Battle Cry Coffee Cuff pattern is an excellent way of practicing stranded knitting using just a bit of yarn. Make all the versions, and stage Middle Earth battles in your own kitchen!

This pattern calls for sport weight yarn knit at a fingering weight gauge to create a dense accessory for better thermal regulation. Fingering weight yarn may also be used.

Gauge is not actually crucial to this project, although too tight a gauge will make it difficult to fit onto your cup.

  • Knit in the round at a small circumference, using the needles and technique you prefer (dpns, magic loop, 2 circular needles, etc).
  • The pattern directions are written; all colourwork sections are charted only.

Estimated yardage used in pattern samples:
Main Colour: at most 30 yards
