Notes

  • Pattern is written starting in size Extra Small with the additional sizes shown in parentheses- XS (S, M, L, 1X)(2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). If only one number is shown it pertains to all sizes.
  • Pattern has 2” of positive ease over the bust and waist and 4” positive ease over the hips.
  • Ch 1 does not count as the first single crochet.
  • Ch 2 does not count as the first H-hdc.
  • Stitch counts take place at the end of each row where a change takes place. If only one st count appears it pertains to all sizes.
  • The Herringbone section of the pattern (top) can be tricky in terms of stitch height. This section of the pattern will include measurements, please check the measurements and add even rows as needed if your measurements do not match.

Notes on Construction
The Bay Breeze Cocktail Dress is constructed in two panels; front and back. Each panel begins with the ribbed waistband and then the bottom skirt and top section are worked off of the top and bottom edges of the waistband. Both panels are then seamed together. The sleeve openings and neck are then finished with simple single crochet stitches. A length of i-cord, or a belt, will be made and belt loops will be added.
