This knitting pattern is to make a Campervan Cushion Cover based on the Bay. The finished cover measures approximately 40cm/16″ square. I’ve made the original in Wendy Serenity Super Chunky yarn (3 x 100g balls) which is knitted to a tension of 10 sts and 12 rows to 10cm/4 inches. Of course you can use any yarn you like as long as the tension is correct! I used 9mm needles (UK00, US 13). To finish the cushion you’ll also need a 40cm/16″ cushion pad, a 31cm/12″ zip and oddments of yarn in red, orange and white for the indicators.
I’ve used Swiss Darning for the headlamps and rear lights then added further details in back stitch and chain stitch.
The cover itself is knitted in stocking stitch (one row knit, one row purl) and the blocks of colour worked using the intarsia technique (plenty of YouTube videos on this!).
