Inspired by beauty of The Mediterranean Sea, Bay Of Silence is a lovely lightweight shawl. The lace part represents gentle sea waves that can be admired in Baia del Silenzio, one of the most charming bays on Ligurian coast.
The shawl is worked top-down. The pattern includes both charts and written instructions.

Size: one size; measurements after blocking: approx. 190 cm/ 75” wide, 80 cm/ 31” long

Gauge: 22 sts and 34 rows = 10cm/ 4” in Stockinette stitch, measured flat after blocking; gauge in not crucial for this project but it will affect the size and the yardage; make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project.

Yarn: Martin’s Lab Tibetan Singles 65% merino wool, 20% silk, 15% yak; 480 meters (525 yards)/120g (4.23 oz) 2 skeins. Sample shown in Algae colorway.

Needles: 3.25 mm/ US3 circular needles 80cm/ 32” long or needle size to obtain the gauge

Other: tapestry needle to weave in ends, 4 stitch markers
