Knitting Socks is a source of joy for me. It is my go to project - easy project to take with you - incredible yarns to pick from - simple to make. If you can knit then you can make a pair of socks. If this is your first time making socks, take it one step at a time and you will do great.

This pattern uses the magic loop method of knitting from the toe up. I have included in the directions two links as follows: Cat Bordhi’s video tutorial on how to do the cast on using Judy Becker’s magic method. Plus a link on how to knit in the round using the “Magic Loop” method.

The socks can be made in three sizes to fit a woman’s foot - small, medium, large (to fit women’s shoe size 5-6; 7-8; 9-10).

Here are the yarns I used for the socks pictured:
Lavender - Koigu
Teal/Blue/Green - Done Roving
Yellow - Madelintosh
Sage - Toil & Trouble

The instructions are to create a 2x2 ribbed sock. However, I also explain how to create a stockinette stitch sock with a ribbed cuff.

“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.” Epictetus

No matter how chaotic our lives can get, is it not so wonderful to sit down with two needles and some yarn and just be present to knit?

I hope you enjoy making these socks.
