Be Sharp!
Lazy days of holiday season are over and autumn will be here soon… So it’s time to be sharp again: get back to normal routines, to work and school :-) Nights are getting colder so maybe you need something to keep your feet warm, but not too hot? This sock is ideal for that, with having short cuff and fingering weight yarn.
You need:
- Fingering weight yarn 50-75gr approx. Semi-solid yarn highlights the instep pattern, but of course you can use what ever yarn you like. The yarn I used in the model socks is Julie Asselin’s Nomade, colorway Orange Blossoms.
-
2,5mm needles (US 1,5) (pattern is written on dpns, but nothing stops you using a circular needle. Then you also need stitch markers or spare yarn).
-
Tapestry needle
Gauge: 24 stiches and 30 rows = 7,5cm (3 inches) stockinette stitch
Sizes: S (36-37) = 19cm foot circumference (7,5 inch)
M (38-39) = 21cm foot circumference (8,5 inch)
L (40-42) = 24cm foot circumference (9,5 inch)
