If you have an i-cord maker, than you already know how much fun it is to create these long tubes of knitting.

Put those cords to work in a blanket pattern.

Using fingering weight yarn which is knit into long i-cords, the i-cords are then knit to create the fabric of the blanket.

This is a wonderful project for using up your leftover yarns.
In this pattern a photograph tutorial is presented to help you graft the cords together and avoid tails in the middle of your work.

The resulting blanket is hefty, drapey and full of memories. Throw it over a chair or your shoulders, or spread it on the beach to watch the tide roll in.

Thank you Lily Tomlin for your character Frankie Bergstein who definitely inspired this piece.
