This pattern is for a hollow beach hut with an opening roof and door! It includes a choice of 3 decorations for the front door, so why not make a row of beach huts in different colours?!

The pattern includes lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms.

PLEASE NOTE - I have also designed some seaside animals & accessories that fit inside the beach huts. If you purchase the beach hut pattern you will be eligible for a 50% discount on my seaside friends pattern (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seaside-friends). This discount will be applied automatically to your cart - no code needed!

You will need:

Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Knitcraft Cotton Blend DK yarn (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished beach hut measures approx 15.5cm tall (to the tip of the flag) and 14cm long.

You will need the following colours:

Main Stripe Colour – In the pattern, I used lilac (approx. 68m).

Neutral Stripe Colour - I used white (approx. 66m).

Roof & Door Colour - I used purple (approx. 83m).

Flag & Bunting Colour - I used turquoise (approx. 8m).

There are a choice of decorations for the front door, so you will need one of the following:

Star Colour - I used yellow (approx. 2m).

Fish Colour - I used orange (approx. 2m).

Shell Colour - I used Lilac (approx. 3m).

Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide.

The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 3.5mm hook.

Plastic canvas. I had a 26.7cm x 34.3cm sheet (that’s 10.5 x 13.5 inches) and I used just over half a sheet per beach hut.

If you would like the door to fasten closed then you can attach a small piece of Velcro or press stud (also called a snap fastener) although this step is optional.

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and several stitch markers.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Feel free to contact me with any questions as I am more than happy to help. Thank you.
