I don’t know about you, but beach reads are one of my favorite parts of warm weather (even though I live no where near a beach). These wonderful little tomes are an easy and fun break from some of the more intense & heavy reads that normally snag my attention. (Hello, non-fiction finds!) This shawl is the embodiment of those light-hearted stories put into yarn form.

Just like a good beach read, this shawl has familiar characters (stitches), a basic plotline (shaping), and an easy to love (and memorize) patterning that makes it simple to pick up & put down at will. Combine all that with the fact that it will work with any dye style of yarn you choose & you’ve got the perfect simple shawl pattern that you can make again and again on repeat! (Just like your favorite book! You know, that one that is dog-eared and tattered. ^_- )

Note: This pattern was designed for Merino y Vino’s Yarn Surprise Box so if you’re a member please be sure to use your coupon code to get the pattern for free. If you aren’t a member, what are you waiting for? You get yarn, book recommendations, a pattern, plus a bunch of other wonderful goodies in each quarterly box!
