Meet the Beachy Cardi, an oversized, wear everywhere piece for all your summer adventures. Transition it into fall by layering it over long sleeve tops too. This pattern combines our Spun Cloud yarn and Wildflower Mini Skein kits. We are VERY low on all of the yarns in this pattern, so I encourage you to choose quickly to make sure you get the color you like! We will not have more yarn until September.

Pattern details:

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Knitter

Needle Size:

Sizes 17 (12mm) 40” long circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Available Sizes: XS/S (M/L, XL/XXL)

Fit note: This sweater is intended to have about 8” to 12” of positive ease at the bust. The model is wearing a size XS/S and has a 36” bust.

Finished Measurements:

Bust: 47 (64, 79)”/ 119.5(162, 200)cm

Length: 24 ¾ (26 ¾, 28 ¾)”/63 (73, 83)cm

Gauge: 1 3/4 sts and 1 3/4 rows = 1”/2.5cm in stockinette stitch in main color yarn after blocking

Materials:

2 (2, 3) skeins Spun Cloud (100% Wool, approx. 100yds/200g): French Vanilla (MC) shown here

1 (1, 2) Wildflower Mini Skein Sampler Kit (100% Cotton, 60yds/70g): 5 colors, 17 yds each per mini skein for contrast colors. Sweet Dreams color shown here.

  • Please note that for size M/L, you may run out of CC2 as you knit with just a few stitches left to knit on (this happened in testing!). If you’re Ok with that from a design perspective, simply attach CC3 and keep knitting. If you want the CC2 rows to be completely knit in CC2, we suggest getting another mini skein kit or a single skein of Wildflower yarn in that color so that you have enough yarn.
