Feeling Nostalgic? Remembering those wonderful school crafting sessions when we made the construction paper chains that would be sure to adorn our classroom and / or home? Now you can create that seasonal or holiday garland with a hook and yarn instead of paper and globs of glue! This pattern shows you have to create a durable, versatile garland that adds a whimsical bit of nostalgia to any home decor.
This pat-torial (pattern and tutorial) allows for your freedom of design as you choose colors of yarn and beads that fit your sense of decorating whimsy.
The examples in the pattern used 2 holiday colors in 4ply ww yarn, 2 size “H” (5mm) hooks in a uniform shank. (you will be using these like double pointed needles in your live loop management) and choice of beads. (6 and 8mm used in the example.) You will also want to have a thin wire (24 gauge -ish) dental floss or needle and thread to snag the bead on to the stitch in this “bead as you go” project.
