Description

This lovely lace piece is quite versatile. It may be made in two sizes--either shawl or scarf--and additionally, can be knit with or without the beads. It is not a complicated stitch pattern and can be easily memorized.

Tips

The original version used a handpainted yarn which when knit, produced vertical stripes of color. There are a few ideas to help you duplicate the look of it included in the pattern, however, the lace looks equally as lovely when knit with a solid color yarn or when the colors of the variegated yarn are allowed to mix together.
