This pattern will show you how to make a textured pumpkin starring the fabulous bean stitch. Using the gauge and pattern as written, the pumpkin is about 6” in diameter, but you can easily adapt the pattern to make a smaller or larger pumpkin if needed. I used about 100 yds of I Love This Yarn! and a size J hook to make mine. Gauge isn’t crucial, but it will effect the final size of your pumpkin and how much yarn you’ll need; just be sure to keep your stitches tight enough that there isn’t too much stuffing peeking through.

I finished mine off with a felt stem, but you can easily substitute your own favorite method (crocheted or a cinnamon stick, etc). You’ll also need fiberfill stuffing and a tapestry needle for shaping.
