This pattern is for a Star Wars: The Force Awakens BB-8 droid inspired beanie hat with earflaps. Each earflap has a different design influenced by the many unique patterns on BB-8’s round body.

Hat is knitted flat and seamed up the back; earflaps are knitted first and joined to the main piece on the first row. Pattern is written for a CHILD with adjustments for an ADULT. There is a colored chart detailing the design for both.

Included in the pattern is a set of instructions for an earflap liner. Recommend that you knit earflap liners—it improves the final appearance and eases finishing. Also recommend that you use yarn from the same vendor to maintain consistent tension.
