Yardage
For sizes 18.9-21.3’’ (48-54 cm) – 1 ball (with some extra yarn to spare).
For size 22’’ (56 cm) – 1 ball exactly, it’s also possible that you will have to unravel 1 round of the crown.
For size 22.8’’ (58 cm) – 1.1 ball, but you can use yarn of the same weight on a brim folded to WS, in this case 1 ball will be enough for the visible part of the hat.
Tools
● 16-20 inch (40-50 cm) US 6 (4.0 mm) circular needles.
● double pointed needles or needles with long circular needles of the same size for the crown.
● stitch markers.
● tapestry needle or crochet hook for
weaving in the ends.
Gauge
20.5 sts x 30 rows = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm) in Stockinette st after blocking.
Before you begin to work, make a gauge swatch in Stockinette stitch and make sure that you obtained required gauge.
Probably you will have to use different needle size or to make the circumference of the hat bigger/smaller.
