The Beanstalk Scarf was designed to show off one 50g skein of Indochine, Lantern Moon’s exquisite 100% silk sport weight yarn. An additional 50g skein is all that’s needed for a pair of lacy fingerless mitts. Wet blocking will highlight the lacy leaves and trellis in your scarf; wearing the mitts will block them to a perfect fit for your hand. You’re ready for a garden party!

Scarf is knit flat; mitts are knit in the round. DPNs, magic loop, two circulars: knitter’s choice.

The lace in the mitts is open and will accommodate hand circumference from 6 to 8.5 inches. When the mitts are blocked for a wider hand, adding length will provide additional finger coverage. There is enough yardage in one skein to make the mitts long enough to do so.

If you want a pattern for the mitts only, these mitts are featured in my Trellis Vines Mitts pattern, available through Knit Picks for $3.99. It is named and featured to coordinate with my Trellis Vines Stole/Poncho.
