This bear hood pattern begins with a cowl section knit in the round using the magic loop method. I used a 80 cm / 32” needle for this.

The hood section is knit flat separately, and is shaped using short row decreases.

The hood is sewn to the cowl section and finally ears (if required) are knit using the magic loop method and sewn on to the hood.

The pattern contains 4 size options, ranging from toddler to adult.

The samples were knit using Stylecraft Special Chunky yarn, and 2 100g balls of yarn were sufficient for the largest size, however, using a different yarn may mean that you will need more than 200g.
