Beatrice and Benedick are the “merry warriors” of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, dueling with wits until they recognize each other for soul mates.

This lace scarf combines two contrasting patterns, which also helps to overcome the tedium that can overtake the knitting of a long lace scarf in one pattern, end to end.

Basic lace knitting skills are required. Beaded cast on is optional. Pattern includes how-to’s for two bind-offs, and one pattern chart, as well as line-by-line instructions.

The ivory version is knit in Sea Silk, the green in Supernatural Silk (from Impulse of Delight.)

June 2013: Uploaded reformatted pattern.
