Beatrix is a versatile sleeveless top, tunic or dress.
It is designed to be worn closed to the body or over a shirt, therefore it doesn’t have as much increases as you would see in a dress. It’s still possible to knitted it to a dress length, without the empire look and too-big look!

Knitted in the round with Sport weight, it’s perfect for summer while knitted in cotton. Knitted in merino, wool or alpaca, it’s perfect for the winter as it can be worn over a long sleeves shirt.

The neckband can either be knitted in the round or made with an opening in the back to be fastened by a button. This option is good for young babies who need wider opening.

The lace pattern is easy to memorize. As any lace pattern, you will need to blocked the finished item for a neat finish. In that sense, it is better to choose a yarn that can be blocked.
