Here in the St Paul/Minneapolis and St. Croix Valley area, February is “exit time” for many people. We’ve had it with the cold and snow, but it’s mostly the cold that drives us to seek out warm, and sometimes exotic locations to enjoy a respite from the blasted arctic chill.
On the other hand, we also revel in the winter with celebrations like the Hot Air Affair in Hudson, WI and The Winter Carnival in St. Paul, MN, to name a couple of the well-attended events. We do make the most out of all of the seasons.
Inspired by warm winter vacations and the reds of Valentine’s Day, I’ve collected several of my knit and crochet patterns to share in my Loving Winter ♥ ❄ ☃ ☼ bundle. They offer you a selection of projects using variety of yarn weights.
These are available for free download through Saturday, February 21st. Have fun with them.
Happy knitting and crocheting!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Winter vacation!
Thank you for all of the pattern support!
Each year, my friend, Charlie, walks in the Susan G. Komen, 3-Day.
I wanted to crochet these ladder yarn necklaces for the nine ladies on her team, but couldn’t locate a pattern, so I decided to write my own.
In an effort to contribute to this worthy cause, I am donating all of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern to Charlie’s 3-Day entry fee. This pater is free through Saturday, February 21st, 2015.
The Dark Horse Company has issued a special edition colorway of Beautiful yarn, #B102B, to promote breast cancer awareness (if you would like this pink, please specify that you want the breast cancer awareness pink when ordering from the yarn shops.)
Thank you for your participation!
