Looking for a fun, quick, knitted project? The Bee-coming Cowl just might be the ticket! This easy-to-gift pattern was inspired by the busy work of bees.

It features:

  • a beautiful honeycomb cable repeat
  • slipped stitches
  • traditional knits and purls

Great for advanced beginners and beyond! A link to the video tutorial for the seaming technique is included.

The cowl is knit flat, worked edge to edge, and then is seamed together on the cast on and bind off ends using mattress stitch to make a circular cowl.

The Bee-Coming Cowl is one size, but length could easily be added if desired.

Gauge is calculated using stockinette stitch.

Pattern has been tech-edited and test-knitted for accuracy.

Additional Materials Needed:

  • Appropriate amount of Aran-weight yarn
  • Tapestry Needle - Get one here! https://etsy.me/3ia0Dqb
  • Cable Needle
  • Optional: Stitch markers

Inspiration for the design:

We, as a society, have a renewed fascination with bees and have a fevered interest in saving our tiniest and busiest of workers. This pattern is in honor of the magic of bees and helps remind us that the individual choices we make have a much larger impact than just ourselves.
