Knitting this pattern would be an excellent introduction to cables without a cable needle. To help you on your way I have created a video tutorial showing my favourite method of cabling without a cable needle.

There is also a new tutorial showing the German Twisted cast-on - my all time favourite hat cast on!

Beek | Verb: to bask or warm before a fireplace, stove, or bonfire.

In the north, January brings with her cold, biting winds and the urge to snuggle away from the winter, waiting for the worst of the weather to pass by. For the days when hunkering down against the storm is not an option, everyone needs a toasty hat!

Beek is the ideal winter companion. Worked quickly in sumptuously warm and soft baby Alpaca, this hat will be off the needles and warming your frozen ears in no time.

Worked from the brim to the crown with a simple twist cable design, this fuss free knit is a delight.

Five sizes mean you can easily knit hats for all the family.
