These fingerless mittens with a mirrored diagonals pattern are made with only knit and purl stitches thus they are perfect for either knitters with little experience or for those seeking an easy rewarding project. They are knit all in the round with a thumb gusset and are totally seamless. They are comfy and warm. I recommend using a solid color yarn to show the design best. The pattern is written, there is also a chart for the textured pattern.

Skill level: very easy.

Techniques: knit/purl in the round, increase.

Yarn: DK / light worsted weight yarn - 150 yards.

Sizes:
Small / Medium (S/M) = to fit 6.5 to 8” (16.5-20 cm) around hand.
Medium / Large (M/L) = to fit 8 to 9.5” (20-24 cm) around hand.

Note that the textured pattern is pretty stretchy.

Gauge:
S/M: 24 stitches x 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch (size US 6/4mm needles).
M/L: 22 stitches x 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch (size US 7/4.5mm needles).

Needle sizes are a suggestion, always use the size that gives you gauge.

Tools: Size US 6/4 mm or US 7/4.5 mm double pointed needles (or long circular needle if you prefer magic loop) or size to get gauge; tapestry needle; scissors; 2 stitch markers; stitch holder or small length of waste yarn.
