A perfect beginner project with the only skills needed being cast on, knit and cast off. There’s only one simple sum to work out how many stitches you need to fit any size hand. They are worked flat in garter stitch (knit every row), sideways around the hand, with the cast on edge seamed to the cast off edge, leaving a gap in the middle for the thumb. Model shown is a ladies size 10-12 (Australian).

Gauge given as per ball band of yarn. Actual gauge in project was 18 stitches = 10 cm in garter stitch. Gauge is not critical for this pattern and is indicative only to help you select a suitable yarn.
