This is almost like two patterns in one. The snowflake trivet is comprised of small crocheted circles which encase metal bottle caps inside; so first, you learn how to crochet the circles, and then you put them together to make the snowflake shape.

The yarn I originally used for making my sample project has been discontinued. If you don’t have it stashed, I recommend Cascade 220 or Knitpicks Simply Cotton Worsted as possible substitutes. These yarns are both smoother than the yarn I used for crocheting the sample -- so the results will look a bit different. However, the upside is that either of these yarns will be easier for you to work with.

Thank you so much for your interest in my pattern. I sincerely appreciate it!</p>
