This pattern is for a lovely afghan measuring approximately 48” x 72”. Pull this thick and cozy throw over your lap on a chilly evening while you sip a steaming mug of tea, or display it on a sofa or chair. This inspirational reminder also features a simple granny border and would make a great addition to your decor.

This pattern is written in American crochet terms.

For this project, you should be familiar with crochet terms and abbreviations and be able to chain (ch), half-double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc) and work frequent, multiple color changes (explained in pattern). Project requires a size K/10.5 (6.50MM) crochet hook and approximately 1700 yards of worsted weight yarn for the background, and 700 for the word and border

This pattern includes directions to begin the afghan which is worked almost entirely in hdc (border is dc) and a graph for the color changes as well as instructions for the border.
