The pouch itself is knitted and is begun with a provisional cast-on, ended with Kitchener Stitch, and then a picot bind-off is worked at the top edge.

Now comes the fun! The embellishments are worked in both knitting and crochet with both options provided for working the corkscrew and strap. Add your own beads and charms and, voila!
