To my dearest friend Melissa on her 40th Birthday. Love you Bella! You will always be knit-worthy to me ❤️

This crescent shawl features stripes of garter stitch separated by sections of lace. It is designed for 2 matching gradients of fingering (4ply) yarn for a subtle, blended look, although you may use either a gradient and a solid colour to mix it up, or 2 solid colours for bolder contrasts.

All instructions for this pattern are written and charts are included. A tick-sheet is also provided as a handy tool to keep track of where you are up to.

Yarn
Gradient 1 (G1): 1 skein Gradient of Fingering weight yarn 100g or approx. 400m (I used 100g of Shepherdess Merino/Silk Blank which is 400m/437yd in col. Salmon Suede/Grey).

Gradient 2 (G2): 1 skein Gradient of Fingering weight yarn 100g or approx. 400m (I used 80g of Shepherdess Merino/Silk Blank which is 400m/437yd in col. Greyscale).

ShepherdessAU is no longer dyeing yarn however you can pick up a lovely yarn kit for this project from Knitcircus Yarns here.

Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6) & 5mm (US 8) needles for casting off (optional). I like to use an 80cm circular needle set but straight are fine also. The larger needles are for the cast off only.
2 stitch markers.

Finished Measurements (after blocking)

Depth: 59cm (23”)
