This bonnet gives instructions for newborn size (0-14 days old).
…………………………………………………………………………

This bonnet has been in the vault for quite some time. Going through old photos, I was reminded recently of how much I loved it. The classic ‘knit’ stitch paired with the unique texture of ‘herringbone’ stitch, this hat keeps it both interesting and classic at the same time. Two options are given for the brim - either a pretty scallop or plain unisex trim. Work it up in your favorite sport or DK baby alpaca yarn or substitute with merino or go all cotton! This bonnet is intended to be used as a photography prop and had instructions that will yield a bonnet to fit a newborn (up to 3 weeks).

All parts of this bonnet are explained fully and I’ve provided video links in the pattern as well. Even if you are intimidated to make this bonnet my step by step instructions should help you through it. As always you can message me and I will do my best to be of great help.

Instructions are given for working the crown both flat and in the round.
