This hat came out great. I pondered my screen captures and counted rows as closely as possible. I think this is as close to the actually hat as anyone can get. It sits perfectly on my head and even folds in at the top in the same way as the original. WIN!

I went to see Eclipse at the first midnight showing and left wanting to make the adorable, tweedy, slightly over-sized hat with deep ribbing that Kristen wore at the mountainside campsite. I went into the shop the next day and hunted around for the perfect chunky tweeds to match the bulky gauge of the hat. I chose my favorite, which I rarely get to use, Queensland Collection Kathmandu Chunky Tweed. I love this yarn because of the soft touch of the cashmere and silk mixed in with the wool. I realize that not everyone will want drop all that cash for cashmere so I gave an alternate yarn recommendation of Encore Chunky Tweed, which comes in exactly the same colors that I used in the Kathmandu!
