Designed to be worked in any weight yarn, the Belles Filles Shawl takes it’s name from one of the Tour de Fleece colourways dyed by Porpoise Fur in 2017, in turn inspired by Stage 4 of the Tour de France, which finished at the top of La Planche des Belles Filles.

The Belles Filles Shawl is perfect for handspun, as you can use any yarn you have to hand - no yardage requirements included! Take any hank (or several to combine!), pick a needle size, and cast on four stitches to start. Then work until the handspun runs out (or your shawl is big enough) and block aggressively to open up the stitch patterns to their best advantage.

Size, yardage used and needle size all depend on the yarn you pick for your shawl.
