BEND Leg Warmers

THE KNIT
These leg warmers are made from the bottom up, in the round. If you like to knit two-at-a-time socks, you can do the same with the leg warmers, but only after you reach the heel cutout.
They are designed in One Size, but length and width are very easily customizable. Notes are given in the pattern to help you find your best fit along the way.
If you’re a sock knitter, I even have a tip for you to avoid having to swatch!
YARN:
I suggest using one self striping yarn and one gradient/ombre yarn to achieve the effect created in the sample. Of course you can use any yarns you’d like!
For a two-colorway version, my test knitters needed anywhere between 50g and 75g of each color.
The leg warmers are designed with dancers in mind, though anyone can enjoy them!
Ribbing right where you need it ensures they will stay on (even during petit allegro!) and they can be worn several different ways. Fold them over, scrunch them down, or pull them all the way up! The heel cutout helps them stay put if you want to wear them inside boots.
Self striping and gradient yarns add interest to this otherwise simple construction. Change yarns as often as you like, or every round. Carry the yarn up as you go to avoid weaving in too many ends!
