Bendy arrow is an asymetric garter shawl using 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. It’s knit on the bias and shaped with german short rows.

Unlike most asymetric shawls it starts small but ends even smaller so there’s no getting stuck in the shawl black hole.

You will need 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn. I used La Bien Aimée Merino Singles in the colorways Interstellar (Speckled white) and Nebula (Navy).
Colour 1 (C1): 350y / 325m - La Bien Aimée Merino Single - Nebula (1 skein 400y / 365m) Colour 2 (C2): 350y / 325m - La Bien Aimée Merino Single - Interstellar (1 skein 400y / 365m)

Needles & notions
US4 / 3.50mm - 32’’ / 80cm circular needles
Tapestry needle
Blocking wires (or many many pins) for agressive blocking

Gauge
26 sts x 38 rows = 4” / 10cm**

High contrast between your two colors will give a very graphic result. A solid color will let the pattern subtly show through. Get bolder results by using three or more colors!
