Originally designed for my February 2024 trip to Kenya with Craftours, the Beneath the Nairobi Moon Shawl is inspired by the rich African textile history of the region, agricultural landscape, and stunning handmade beads. Worked flat back and forth in rows and garter based, a slipped-stitch i-cord edge runs along the right side and bind off edge, and increases flare out the left side.

Beads are added as you go with a small crochet hook. It is not recommended to pre-string.

Three versions are shown, one with 2 solid hand-dyes, another with solid and variegated hand-dyes, and one with a hand-dyed solid and gradient set. All versions need approx. 430 yds of each color.
