18" (20", 22") / 46 cm (51 cm, 56 cm)

Sizes: To fit head circumference 18” (20”, 22”) / 46 cm (51 cm, 56 cm)

Pattern Description: “This pretty beret is knitted in 3 sizes to fit a child and a small and average size for a woman.”

The book includes both a “Striped Beret” knit in a DK-weight wool (sample in Jaeger Matchmaker DK) and a “Plain Beret” (sample in Rowan Yorkshire Tweed). On p. 137, a “sport (4ply) weight tweed wool” is suggested, but the specifications for the actual yarn on p. 158 indicate that the DK version of the yarn was probably used, not the sport weight. Both projects use the same needles and gauge specifications.
