I was inspired by Pia Kaukinen’s beautiful crescent-shaped shawl, Perlata Pitsigootti-huivi. For my design, a top-down stockinette triangle is knitted first, then the lace edging is worked.

Clarification: rows 5, 9, 23, and 27 where a p3tog is worked. If using a marker for the 8-stitch pattern repeat, the stitch marker needs to be removed, one stitch moved to the left and then the marker replaced. Then continue to work the p3tog.
