This pattern can be knit up as flip topped “glittens” or regular
mittens. Knitting the inside fingers explained completely.
Stranded knitting. Model used white Finullgarn with darkest
brown (410) for pattern. Black may be used if desired or
this is a good pattern to experiment with color.
I used 1 ball of each color, just starting to use the second
white. Woman’s size has a lacy cuff.
Man’s size can be made with 3.25mm needles. You could
also add a few rounds just above ribbed cuff.
This pattern was adapted from Berit Hilmo’s woven coverlets
of the mid 1800’s in Norway. Each part has meaning.
