You may also use whichever brand of yarn you want but make sure it compliments your hook. And always go a hook size smaller than what is mentioned on the yarn. Make sure your stitches are tight and I recommend doing yarn under for amigurumi. Looks neater!

The finished doll of mine is approximately 10inches tall when seated. He permanently sits down, because his legs are made bent.
