Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Winter 2005: “This hat is inspired by my Granny’s backyard berry patch filled with raspberry, blackberry, and elderberry bushes. Although this hat is designed to be worn long after the berries are gone (or bottled up as jelly), this should bring back some tasty summer memories. I made extra-long I-cord ties for fun, but you can always make them shorter.”

Sizes: 21 inch circumference

Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Wool (100% wool; 138 yd 126 m/100 g): #61 rhubarb, #50 heather and #57 raspberry, 1 skein each.

Needles: 16 inch (40 cm) circular and set of 4 double-pointed needles in size needed for gauge.

Notions: Stitch holders; markers; tapestry needle; size H/8 crochet hook.

This project is shown on page 118-119 of Interweave Knits, Winter 2005 along with a collection of six other designs entitled “Cover Your Ears!”. The pattern is NOT in the magazine, however.
