I designed this scarf when I discovered that I had become allergic to the alpaca in my favorite scarf. I wanted a pattern that would have an organic element and yet retain a strong visual structure. I also decided to use a wool/silk combination for the yarn as it would have some of the same qualities that I love so much about alpaca! Use what ever yarn you would like but I sure do love the shine of silk!

Note: I have also knitted this scarf with Cashsoft and it turned out very nicely as well. It had more drape but retained the visual structure of the stitch pattern just fine.
