This stick llama is worked in stockinette stitch, ribbing stitch, short rows, and latch hook technique. Some simple embroidery and crochet stitches are also used. The head is worked on 10 ½ circular needles with 150 yards of white heavy weight wool yarn or color of your choice, and the inner ears are worked with approximately 20 yards of heavy weight beige wool yarn. The eye backgrounds are worked on size 5 needles with approximately 10 yards heavy weight black wool yarn. A #16 embroidery needle is used to sew the finished project together. Industrial strength adhesive backed Velcro is used to attach the head to the ¾ inch/36” dowel stick.
