Don’t you want a hair bow that matches your latest sweater creation? Now you can quickly knit that elegant matching bow that stays in your hair, thanks to the barrette underneath.

A couple of odd balls of Colorado Grinasco and Jaeger silk 4-ply inspired this project, but you can substitute any fingering or sports weight yarn to make a bow that you’ll like. Sleek or fuzzy, your yarn choice can reflect your mood or taste.

With Fingering weight yarn for a 3 inch barrette:
28 sts/28 rows=4” in stockinette stitch

With Sports weight yarn for a 4 inch barrette:
25sts/30 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
