Those horse-drawn, pumpkin carriages can be chilly (to say nothing of cottages in the woods and tall stone towers); so what’s an enchanted princess to wear? These elegant gloves are just the thing under a long cape.

The long cuffs work perfectly well to keep the wind and cold out of your coat sleeves as well.

Construction Notes
The round starts at the center back of the hand for these gloves. After working the twisted rib cuff stockinette spreads from the base of the palm and the cable columns and purls on either side are slowly changed over until only the column running up the back of the hand remains.

Notions
3 markers including unique one for thumb gusset
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
scrap yarn or stitch holder

Skills
knit and purl
working on DPNs
m1 and k2tog - described in pattern
faux cable - described in pattern
