To celebrate the launch of Beynac, the pattern only costs £2.50 until 31 January 2012.

Beynac takes its title from the medieval castle of the same
name situated in the Dordogne Valley in South West France.

The turrets and towers inspired four simple 4 stitches stranded
colourwork patterns, and it is therefore ideal for people
who are new to this technique.

The result is a striking, yet ultra simple sock, which uses a
less common German heel and ergonomically shaped toes.
As written, the pattern creates two mismatched, yet very similar socks, but it is as easy to knit perfectly identical socks by working only charts A and B OR charts C and D.
