"Michele Rose Orne based her design for an easygoing cardigan on the qualities of the yarn she used.  The rustic tweedy silk yarn suggested a casual, swingy silhouette and an unfussy stitch with strong definition.  She experimented with several lace and mesh patterns before deciding on the right combination of stitches to incorporate in the round yoke and extended cuff."
