This cowl is knitted flat starting with a provisional cast and finished off by grafting. Increasing 1 stitch at the beginning and decreasing 1 stitch at the end of every right side row creates the diagonal stripes. Alternating stripes are stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette. It is worn folded in half for a cowl or opened for a hood.
