This is another pattern I designed to match the style of my other Cthulhu crochet creations! I’ve decided that every geekling needs at least ONE evil bib… and why not one whose tentacles will help catch the drool for you?

BONUS! The pattern includes modifications for turning your bib into a Cthulhu PURSE! Buying this pattern is like 2 patterns in one - you’ll get the Bibthulhu pattern + modification instructions to turn your bib into a purse.

This is a beginner’s crochet project that requires 1 skein of cotton yarn to complete, using basic stitches. Rawr!

  • 1 skein of 100% cotton yarn in green
  • Size H hook
  • Safety eyes, buttons, felt or black embroidery floss for eyes
  • Darning needle

Approximately 4 single crochet stitches = 1” in worsted weight.

Stitches and Terms Used

  • chain (ch)
  • single crochet (sc)
  • double crochet (dc)
  • slip stitch (sl st) This is considered easy enough for beginners!

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A TOY! Due to the single button closure that helps you secure the bib to your geekling, this creation should not be used without supervision, as the button could pose as a choking hazard.
