Gauge and Size
- Adjustable with needle size or yarn weight
- Stitches per inch (2.5 cm) required (gauge) = 80 stitches / (ankle measurement + .5” or 1.27 cm) over two-color knitting
- Example: to have sock fit ankle of 9-inch circumference; 80/9.5 = 8.42 stitches per inch (2.5 cm)
Yarn Fingering weight sock yarn
- 2 x 50 g (1.75 oz) Main color
- 1 x 50 g (1.75 oz) Contrast color
- Use yarns with strong contrasts, or alternatively choose a strong contrast color and work background in stripes or leftovers.
